The Role of Post-Trade Reviews
Every trading period ends with a review, and the review asks an uncomfortable question: did the outcome come from the process, or in spite of it?
It is tempting to grade decisions by their profit and loss. We grade them by adherence. A profitable trade taken outside documented rules weakens discipline; a losing trade taken exactly to plan strengthens it, because it produces clean data about the strategy itself.
This separation — outcome from process — is what allows a strategy to be evaluated statistically rather than emotionally. Reviews are where that separation is enforced.
